It looks as if the Ashmead fish have finally woken up... Jill landed The Long Common this morning at 39lb. A hobby has arrived at the lake this week as well - perhaps a sign that spring has arrived at last and the dragon flies will soon be airborne.

Keith Jones caught a lovely brace of commons today - a 21lb 15oz specimen and a fish known as Petals at 39lb 14oz... Great fishing Keith - well done.

After a week long blank session, Shaun Barrell caught Ashmead's first forty pound common on his last morning. Heart Tail at an astonishing 44lb 4oz. Well done Shaun...
Big Linear

Jody landed the Big Linear at the end of last week, having also caught a 16lb common on his first night of the session. The fish was in perfect condition and weighed 29lb 4oz.
Skeff finally keeps one on the hook...

After losing a huge common on Friday (despite getting it over the net twice - ouch!) and losing two other fish through hook pulls, Skeff finally landed his first carp of 2012. Worth the torment though - Jill's fish at 23lb 4oz.
